Hi there! Thanks for dropping by. I have a fun, colorful, and stylish e-session to share today. Olamide & Dotun rocked this shoot like stars and had a blast in the process. I absolutely love when couples just have good ol’ fun on shoots. Olamide first said “No” to Dotun when he asked her to be his girl. However, they were destined to be together so that “No” eventually turned to a “YES”!!. Congrats guys on your engagement and upcoming wedding! This shoot took place at the Atlanta Botanical Garden and the Virginia Highland area. Styling, wardrobe and accessories provided by Ladyee Boutique. Make up by Crys Doukoure (Crysdoukoure@gmail.com). Olamide was 15 and Dotun was 17 when they met in Lagos, both just out of high school and(naively) thinking they were ready to take on the world. In a very short time they became best of friends, every morning they traveled together to their respective exam prep centers(SAT exams for Olamide & JAMB for Dotun).
Everything was happy and blissful in their young lives until “a small issue” cropped up. Their
accounts of the incident as they remember it;
Dotun: I politely asked her, a gentleman even at 17, to be my girlfriend and she just said “NO” without even thinking about it. A brothers’ feelings were really hurt but I took it in stride and remained her close friend(NOT).
Olamide: I said “NO” because I was traveling to the US for college, so I didn’t think it made sense to start a relationship that would end shortly afterwards. Sorry love.
Dotun: There lies my problem, a 15 year old is not meant to think that way. You were supposed to just swoon at my *coughs* devilishly dark good looks and just say “YES”.
Olamide left Nigeria sometime after that, they tried to keep in touch through emails but Life happened and they lost touch after a while.
They grew up out of touch, until 2007 when Olamide visited Nigeria for her sisters’ wedding and searched Dotun out. Happy to have found each other, they spent the next few days getting to know each other again. 9 months later they were dating and about 4 years after that, 3 days to Olamide’s birthday, Dotun popped the question.
Dotun: Finally got her to say “YES”, twice. Thank you Baby Jesus.

Hello Everyone. Hope you had a great weekend. I am excited to share this E-session not because it’s another E-session but because Mathilda & Osa are “my peoples” lol. I’ve known Mathilda for a looong time. We hung out/partied a lot back in the days (and still do) and I was always taking pictures with cheap camera’s..lol. When I look back I remember vividly Mathilda telling me how nice those pics from the “cheap camera’s” were and that I should consider taking up professional photography. I did not think too much about it back then but here I am now doing it years later 🙂

For the shoot Mathilda and Osa had a great idea of a vintage/retro e-session so we worked together and put this awesome shoot together. We hit up Stats Atlanta, Centennial Olympic Park and The Biltmore Ballrooms. I had a blast. Congrats guys! I am truly looking forward to your big day! It was a Saturday like any other, I was relaxing after a long week at work. A couple of the guys had asked me to come out that night but I had passed because I was exhausted. One of my very good friends Bose called to let me know that there was a 40th birthday party she wanted to invite me too. Initially I refused because I was so tired but then my sister from another Mother, Sase, called to ask what was going on that night, I told her about the party but told her I was not sure I was going but she eventually convinced me to go, Sase is persuasive like that, her mouth sweet well, well. So I jumped in the shower and got dressed, went to pick up Sase and was prepared to not stay very long at the event. We walk in and as I surveyed the room I notice her. Standing tall, commanding the room, gorgeous and with the most beautiful smile I have ever seen. She had this mane of hair on her head, looking all Amazonian and herbal. But there was one problem she was hanging around this guy almost the whole night so I was not sure she was single (he would turn out to be her older brother). I kept my eye on her all night and eventually she moved from the guy’s table to a table with a group of 5 – 6 of her girlfriends. As any man with sense knows, it is extremely dangerous to try to penetrate a pack of babes in the wild, especially when you are not sure the lady you are after is single. So I sent Sase to do some Mission Impossible and Inspector Gadget work for me. Sase came back and said that the coast was clear, she was single and that her name was Dupe. The whole time Sase was giving me grief because she said I was “dulling” and I should just go talk to her. But a gentleman waits until the right moment abi? When I saw my opening, I walked up to her. She had her back to me, I put my hand on the small of her back, leaned in and said Dupe Right? She turned around and smiled……and the rest is history

Hello! TGIF! To get your weekend started i have a great e-session to share featuring Ama and Collins! Ama wanted a shoot with a city feel so we figured somewhere in buckhead would fit that profile. I am glad we did because the city look fit them perfectly! I met Collins for the first time on the day of the shoot and we immediately clicked. Normally it takes guys a bit longer to get comfortable but not Collins :). Ama & Collins made this shoot exciting and fun with their great sense of humor. I really had a great time on this session and can’t wait to shoot their wedding later this year (Shout out to Victoria for sending this lovely couple my way 🙂 ). Check out some pictures from the day. Better Together! Shawnell and Will Engagement Session | Cator Wolford Gardens | Atlanta Wedding Photographers

Hello Folks! Hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend. Today i have an E-session featuring Shawnell (Happy Birthday Shawnell! )and Will. Shawnell found out about me through another wonderful client (Linnea & Vincent). It really seems a majority of my clients are linked which amazes me all the time. From the time i met Shawnell and Will i just knew they were a really fun and down to earth couple so naturally i was positive we would have a great shoot. While it was supposed to be a nice warm spring weather it was literally freezing on the day of the shoot. Kudos to Shawnell and Will for braving the weather..lol. Congrats once again guys. It was February 2009 and our dear friends Danielle and Charlie Miller were playing cupid. After checking out each other’s myspace profile picture and listening to our friends tell us all the many reasons why we should meet, we finally decided to do an informal “meet and greet” at the bowling alley. It was NOT love at first site. Although we were physically attracted to one another, Shawnell could not get past the hideous fur hat Will was wearing with his deep “country” accent, meanwhile Will could not get past Shawnell’s slightly “sidditty” mannerisms and could not make sense of her out-going Cali girl personality. The “meet and greet” was an epic fail…
For the next few months, we would run into each other in Atlanta. Our friends never gave up on their vision of us dating, so often they would make little comments about how we should try going on a solo date or talk on the phone. We could not see our friend’s vision, but something changed on July 4, 2009…
July 4, 2009 Danielle and Charlie Miller were married at the Georgia Aquarium. That night at the wedding reception destiny and love met the dance floor. After dancing the night away, we realized how much fun we could have together. After flirting and giggling the whole night, we grew interested in one another. Romance was in the air and we decided to exchange phone numbers for the second time.
On July 10, 2009, we went on their first date at Café Intermezzos in downtown Atlanta. Café Intermezzos was the perfect first date! Shawnell appreciated Will’s southern gentleman approach and Will was attracted to Shawnell’s intellectuality and radiant beauty. We spent hours talking, laughing, and learning each other’s passion in life. We never wanted the date to end. That night marked history for our love story. We have been together ever since that first date at Café Intermezzos.
Through the years our love grew into something special, unique, and truly divine. It was in our divine purpose to unite our lives together. We are truly better together. We can’t wait to become Mr. & Mrs. Johnson and celebrate with our family and friends. We are ready for October 19, 2013!

Play. Laugh. Love! Kourtnie + Bobby Engagement Session | Atlanta Wedding Photographers

Hello Folks! I have a fun e-session to share today featuring Kourtnie and Bobby. This shoot was too much fun! We literally played games on this shoot 🙂 . Bobby is not just a client but a good friend (We go waayy back ) so i am excited i’ll be a part of his big day. It’s funny because whenever i see Bobby i always joke with him and ask when will he get married? and he always tells me one day..lol. I ran into him at a party and asked again when will he get married? but this time around instead of his typical excuse his answer was “i am engaged and will be getting married soon!” I was definitely happy (and really surprised lol).

Kourtnie and Bobby are such a fun couple and they wanted their pictures to reflect that so Kourtnie came up with some really amazing ideas for the shoot. We started out at Dave & Buster’s then hit up their fave ice cream shop Cold Stone. We also dropped by the AMC Theater for some cool fun shots. Next up was Atlantic Station for some outdoor shots and lastly to the Marriott Marquis Hotel. It was a really fun day. Congrats guys. Looking forward to the big day. Our story is kind of a funny one. When asking Bobby he will tell you we met at my mother’s house, when I answered the door to let him in. I don’t agree because I didn’t introduce myself and neither did he. I simply opened the door, directed him where everyone was and went back to doing what I was doing. We didn’t even share small talk. (I did find out later from him that he inquired about me ☺) Now, the day we ACTUALLY met… It was at Salem’s Annual Church picnic September 2009 when a mutually loved and respected “mom-like” member of Salem introduced us. Although we did not exchange any contact information at that time, we both knew there the spark was lit to our eternal flame! The spark that remained a small glowing ember for 4 months! Yep February 2010, that is when Bobby asked (so sweet but very formal) “if I would be his Valentine?” I said yes and just six days later it was official Bobby Hagan & Kourtnie Woods became a couple and the flame begins to burn. On February 19,2012 the flame burns BRIGHTER… during a surprise trip to New York completely planned by Bobby to my absolute AMAZE Bobby proposed on a dinner cruise, and just like that Bobby Hagan & Kourtnie Woods will be Mr. & Mrs. Bobby Hagan in April 2013 and the flame will burn FOREVER!

Kourtnie vs Bobby..Let the games begin! 🙂

Hello there! Sorry for the short break. I have soooooo much to share. Today I have a wonderful couple on the blog. Ronke & Wole. Ronke was actually a bridesmaid at a wedding a shot back in 2011 (Susan & Azu’s wedding – Thanks guys). So I was very excited when she contacted me that she was engaged. This shoot almost did not happen because out of nowhere it just started raining on the day of the shoot. We decided to proceed with the shoot. All we needed was a trusty umbrella and a little bit of love..lol 🙂 . Luckily, shortly after we started the shoot it stopped raining and gave us just enough time for the outdoor part. I had and amazing time hanging with Ronke & Wole especially during the mickey mouse mini photo booth session. lol. Classic! The shoot took place at the Atlanta Botanical Garden and the Loews Atlanta Hotel Congrats guys on your engagement. Also Happy Birthday Ronke! LL&P! Looking forward to your big day!. Macon is the destination for todays post! My trip to Macon for Nneka and Obinna’s Engagement Session was completely worth it. I met them for the 1st time and could immediately tell they are two really fun people. The shoot took place at Barnes & Noble. After their first date they walked into this Barnes & Noble, checked out a few things and at some point just knew they were meant to be together. So when Nneka told me she would like to take pictures there I thought it was a great idea. Barnes & Noble was shutdown so this hot couple could take pictures..lol Just kidding 🙂 Special thanks to the Barnes & Noble management! We had such a great time.
