Hello! Thank you for visiting! Its February and the wedding season is about to get started. I am excited about Kim and Andre’s wedding coming up in a few weeks. From the first time i spoke to this lovely couple i just felt a great connection and i knew their engagement session would be great. Their wedding is definitely going to be amazing.  Kim and Andre enjoy hanging out at the Ponce City Market so we incorporated that into the shoot. We wrapped up the shoot in the city. Congrats to Kim and Andre. See you in a few weeks! Check out how they met and and images from the shoot below. Enjoy!

A co-worker and I decided we needed to be more visible on the dating scene.  The plan was every other Friday, we’d transition from work to a night on the town!  Our very first outing was January 17, 2014.  We went to a restaurant nearby and listened to a local band.  The food was great, but the crowd was just “okay”, so we quickly aborted the mission to go somewhere we didn’t frequent for good laughs.  We walked in and Andre was sitting at the bar alone.  My friend and I found a table in the back, and I noticed Andre looking at me through a mirror.  To my disappointment, he paid his bill and walked towards the door.  BUT – he turned back around (and of course I was looking dead at him.. lol).  He later told me he was thinking, “now if I turn around and she’s looking at me too.. I’ve got to talk to her.”  lol!  I mouthed to him, “Where are you going?”  He confidently mouthed back, “To eat someplace else.  I’ll be back.”  My friend and I laughed, trying to figure out why anyone would leave a restaurant to go eat somewhere else!  In record timing, Andre walked back in!  He patiently waited for others to leave our table and had the waitress send drinks to our table.  He and I struck up a conversation shortly thereafter that led to us exchanging numbers.  He called me a few days later.  We wanted to see each other sooner than later but we were interrupted by the infamous Atlanta Snowmaggedon of 2014.  That didn’t hold us down, though!  As soon as the snow was melted and the roads were clear, Andre called to set up our first date!
What I didn’t know is the day I met Andre he had been laid off from his finance job, just that morning.  He says his day of sadness was replaced with a ray of sunshine, and for that he’ll forever be grateful.  Dealing with a major hardship so early on taught us how to smile during the down times and find creative ways to love each other.  It taught us to genuinely be just us.
We dated for close to 3 years and December 2016 were headed Downtown Atlanta for a New Year’s Eve weekend “staycation”.  Andre had dinner plans and told me to be ready at 7.  I remember him being so surprised I was ready on time!  We pulled up to the Polaris, an iconic restaurant in the city that is 22 stories up and slowly spins for a panoramic view.  I said to him, “Excuse me?! … How swanky, sir..”  He laughed and we headed up.  We had a lovely dinner and Andre asked me to share dessert with him.  I was stuffed, so I opted out.  He insisted I live in the moment and share some with him.  In true Kim fashion, I opted out again.  Eventually he convinced me and I told him I would take a few bites of whatever he ordered.  Once I agreed, the manager brought out champagne glasses and a “dessert” tray.  I thought, “what a nice restaurant.  They must bring out champagne because its New Year’s weekend.”  When I looked a little closer, I saw a small ring box in the middle of an assortment of desserts.  When I turned to my right, Andre was on one knee and started professing his love for me.  I cried like a baby and could barely get “Yes” out!  I soon noticed the workers of the restaurant were all on board and some were capturing the moment for us.  Afterwards I started calling our family and friends, but hardly any of my friends in the city were answering.  To my surprise, they were all together, waiting at the hotel to celebrate me!  That was such a special moment and one I’ll remember forever!

Hello and happy Friday! Funmi and Yomi are gracing the blog today. I really had a great time capturing this lovely couple who flew in from Houston TX for this shoot. They are stylish and have a great fun side as well. I love how we incorporated their (or Yomi’s lol) love for Manchester United into the shoot. It was great to kick around a ball on an engagement shoot. The take away is you can make your shoot into whatever you imagine and it never has to be typical or boring. Funmi and Yomi are getting married this weekend! Congrats guys. Looking forward to capturing your special day. Check out some images from the day. We started out at the Beautiful Suada Studio Venue the Midtown Atlanta and wrapped up at a soccer field. Enjoy!

Hello Folks! Hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend. Today i have an E-session featuring Shawnell (Happy Birthday Shawnell! )and Will. Shawnell found out about me through another wonderful client (Linnea & Vincent). It really seems a majority of my clients are linked which amazes me all the time. From the time i met Shawnell and Will i just knew they were a really fun and down to earth couple so naturally i was positive we would have a great shoot. While it was supposed to be a nice warm spring weather it was literally freezing on the day of the shoot. Kudos to Shawnell and Will for braving the weather..lol. Congrats once again guys. Looking forward to your wedding! Check out the pictures below and the story of how it all started. Enjoy!

It was February 2009 and our dear friends Danielle and Charlie Miller were playing cupid.  After checking out each other’s myspace profile picture and listening to our friends tell us all the many reasons why we should meet, we finally decided to do an informal “meet and greet” at the bowling alley.  It was NOT love at first site.  Although we were physically attracted to one another, Shawnell could not get past the hideous fur hat Will was wearing with his deep “country” accent, meanwhile Will could not get past Shawnell’s slightly “sidditty” mannerisms and could not make sense of her out-going Cali girl personality.  The “meet and greet” was an epic fail…
For the next few months, we would run into each other in Atlanta.  Our friends never gave up on their vision of us dating, so often they would make little comments about how we should try going on a solo date or talk on the phone.  We could not see our friend’s vision, but something changed on July 4, 2009…
July 4, 2009 Danielle and Charlie Miller were married at the Georgia Aquarium.  That night at the wedding reception destiny and love met the dance floor.  After dancing the night away, we realized how much fun we could have together.  After flirting and giggling the whole night, we grew interested in one another.  Romance was in the air and we decided to exchange phone numbers for the second time.
On July 10, 2009, we went on their first date at Café Intermezzos in downtown Atlanta.  Café Intermezzos was the perfect first date!  Shawnell appreciated Will’s southern gentleman approach and Will was attracted to Shawnell’s intellectuality and radiant beauty.  We spent hours talking, laughing, and learning each other’s passion in life.  We never wanted the date to end.  That night marked history for our love story.  We have been together ever since that first date at Café Intermezzos.
Through the years our love grew into something special, unique, and truly divine.  It was in our divine purpose to unite our lives together.  We are truly better together.  We can’t wait to become Mr. & Mrs. Johnson and celebrate with our family and friends.  We are ready for October 19, 2013!

Hello Folks! Thanks for swinging by!

Tarah and Rico live out of state so I met them for the 1st time during the shoot. It’s always interesting meeting a client on the day their shoot. I typically use the opportunity to get to know more about the couple while getting great shots in the process. Tarah and Rico are so down to earth, fun and loving. It was a really cold day but nothing could cool down the love they share for each other 🙂 lol. We started off at the Biltmore then took a walk around the Midtown Atlanta area.  I definitely enjoyed this session and can’t wait for their wedding. Enjoy some images from the day and the story of how it all started!

In 2007, we were introduced by mutual friend at a cook-out Rico hosted in his old apartment. Over the years, we remained friends and soon realized we saw each other as more than friends. Although Tarah was overseas at the time, our hearts were knitting together and we decided to give a relationship a try in 2011. We have been cherishing every moment since and are truly blessed that God decided to bring us together.

Hello all! Happy Friday! Another great e-session coming your way 🙂

I know i always say these sessions are fun but seriously they really are. Amber and David are two really funny people which obviously made it a mad fun e-session. It’s only fitting that their first date was at a comedy club. I could not stop laughing throughout the entire session. I am honestly blessed with the best clients in the world.  Enjoy!

The untold story..lol

David and Amber met one Summer day at a mutual friend’s home. They and others, were invited for a summer cookout. They became “facebook friends” soon after. However, they wouldn’t actually start dating until after attending that same friend’s dinner party that Winter. Two weeks after the dinner party, they went on their first date to Uptown Comedy Club. They both say they knew fairly quickly that each other was “the one.” About a year and a half later, David asked Amber to a fancy dinner at the Sundial on a “random” Tuesday evening. At the end of the dinner, he presented her with a scrapbook that he diligently put together. The scrapbook was complete with photos of his parents and her parents whom he drove six hours to meet with to ask permission to propose. To Amber’s surprise, the last page of the scrap book was a sign which stated “Will You Marry Me?” After crying and unbelief, she, of course, said, YES! The two live in Atlanta and plan to get married in the city, June 2013.

Where the laughter and love all started.
