Hello friends! Happy Monday. I am excited to have a super cool friend on the blog today! I’ve know Dupe (I call her Helen 🙂 ) for over 10 years and she is such a cool and down to earth person. I remember all the fun times we had at parties in Atlanta. Great memories. When she contacted me about her wedding I was so happy for her. I met Ope for the first time during the shoot and he is definitely the right guy for her. They make a great team and I love that. We had so much fun. Congrats once again. I am looking forward to the big day. For the shoot we just wanted to have great time. We played some golf and went around the beautiful city of Atlanta. Check out some of the images from shoot. Enjoy!

Hello Everyone! Ashley and Phillip are on the blog today! Ashley was a bridesmaid at wedding I shot in Savannah a few years ago (Angela & Patrick‘s Wedding – Thanks guys 🙂 ). I remember Ashley vividly because she actually told me that when she finds that “special” guy (Phillip actually found her..lol) ) she would love for me to shoot her wedding. We laughed about it but that conversation was imprinted in my mind.  Years later she reached out to me about being engaged!  I was very happy for her and even happier when she asked me to shoot her wedding! I love when my new clients come directly from old clients. It is definitely a huge blessing. For the shoot Ashley and Phillip wanted a traditional, fun and modern feel. So we came up with a bunch of sites/looks that would fit that profile. The results were great and we all had an amazing time. I am a big believer that E-sessions should showcase the couple in their true element and this shoot was no exception. I can’t wait to be a part of Ashley and Phillip’s wedding in a few months. Congrats guys! The shoot took place at the Atlanta History Center and Atlantic Station. Check out the story and how it all started below. Enjoy!

Phillip and Ashley met at a local Atlanta restaurant while out with friends for lunch. Ashley and her friends had just left a bridal appointment in the area helping a friend shop for the perfect wedding dress. The girls were hungry and decided to stop by El Aztec for a bite to eat afterwards. It happened to be Cinco de Mayo and Phillip and his friends were at the same restaurant celebrating the holiday.
Shortly after their arrival Phillip noticed Ashley walk in with her group of friends. He watched her for some time, waiting for his opportunity to say hello. After the girls ordered their food , they decided to hit the dance floor. If you know Ashley at all, you know she was more than happy to stay behind and hold the table. Seeing that Ashley was all alone Phillip walked over, sat down, and introduced himself. The two hit it off instantly and talked for over an hour at the table. As she was preparing to leave the two exchanged numbers.
They kept in touch over the next few weeks and Phillip eventually invited Ashley over for a Memorial Day cookout. After agreeing to come, Ashley began to have second thoughts about this “stranger” she had met and bailed on the cookout. Communication between the two dwindled down and they both went their respective ways.
Fast forward a year later. Cinco de Mayo was quickly approaching bringing thoughts of Ashley back to the forefront of Phillip’s mind. On a whim, he decided to reach out to her. The two met for a first date at Strip in Atlantic Station the very next day after church. Despite a whole year having passed, the two picked right back up where they had left off…sitting and talking for over four hours!! Within a month they began dating exclusively and the rest was history!!

December 30, 2013 | Lifestyle, showcase | 4 Comments

Hello Everyone! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas! Today I have something a bit different on the blog. I typically don’t do many solo shoots but I am glad I did this one. Chichi is Nneka’s sister (I shot Nneka’s wedding earlier this year) and she was also part of the bridal party. When she contacted me about possibly doing a birthday shoot I was open to the idea. ChiChi was amazing and full of energy on the shoot. We definitely had a blast on this one. Check out some images from the shoot. Enjoy!

Hello Folks and Happy new year once again.  I hope to showcase tons of wonderful couples and events this year and invite you to come along on this 2013 journey. I truly feel 2013 will be an amazing year for all of us!!

To get 2013 started i would like to introduce you to Alexandra and Michael.  Alexandra found out about me through another awesome couple. I later found out they are also friends with another couple i shot Linnea & Vincent and Michael will actually be on their wedding party. I honestly love how my clients are connected. Three words i would use to describe Alexandra and Michael are cool, fun and stylish. I really had a great time with both of them. Alexandra and Michael grew up in Atlanta so they wanted their pictures to reflect that. We started off at their favorite park Piedmont Park then to Atlantic Station where we got some great skyline shots. Congrats on your engagement guys! Check out the story on how it all started and a few pictures from the day. Enjoy!

Alexandra and Michael met in January of 2005 at their alma mater, the Bulldog Nation- The University of Georgia. They were instantly drawn to each other and became close friends. The friendship rapidly developed into more and by May of 2005, this happy couple was official. They were young and in love and the sky was the limit for this ambitious and attractive pair. They both excelled at UGA and went on to pursue advanced degrees post college- Alexandra is currently pursuing her JD from Howard University School of Law in Washington, DC, set to graduate this May and Michael completing his MBA in Finance from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell in May of 2012. It was after his graduation ceremony in Boston that Michael, surrounded by close family with the beautiful Boston skyline as a backdrop, got down on one knee and asked Alexandra to spend the rest of her life loving him.
Among the couple’s favorite activities are traveling, listening to music and going to live concerts and of course, UGA and Falcons football. Over the years their love for each other continues to grow, and they know that at the end of the day, despite the curveballs life can present, as long as they have each other, they are capable of anything. They share their lives with their “child” an American Staffordshire Terrier, Sasha, Alexandra’s college graduation gift to Michael. Their wedding is set for November 10th, 2013 at the Biltmore Ballrooms in Atlanta, GA.

Happy New Year everyone!!!

I have a feeling it’s going to be a great year for all of us :). I am excited about 2012 and truly looking forward to capturing all the wonderful moments to come!

To kick off 2012 blogging, i would like to introduce to you Chichi and Emeka! I could not have asked for a better couple to start off the year. We had such a great time on this session at Atlantic Station. I’ve always believed friendship is one of the most important keys to success in a relationship. It goes a long way in keeping the relationship strong through everything we encounter in life. The level of friendship Chichi and Emeka share together is very obvious in the images. Congrats guys!! Looking forward to the big day already! Check out a few pics from the session and a little about the couple. Enjoy!

How it all started:

We started off as friends (African Christian Fellowship) while we were both in high school. As the years went by, we grew up and everyone went off to college and lost touch. Years later, we both decided to join Facebook, as it was the thing to do. As luck would have it, Emeka ran across my profile and invited me to be his Facebook friend.  From Facebook messages, to online chatting, to long phone conversations… the rest is history. These past six years have been such a blessing. Despite all the challenges and triumphs we have encountered, the one thing that has remained consistent is our friendship. We genuinely are, and will always be, the best of friends. We are so grateful to have the blessing of spending each and every day together for the rest of our lives..

This was hilarious. The folks at the location actually thought Emeka was planning on proposing. Hence the acting…lol

Eternal friendship 🙂

I never get tired of capturing the love & fun in e-sessions. This session certainly had a massive dose of both. Although it was extremely hot the day of the shoot(Like sweating hot!) we still had an amazing time. Aleshia & Justin are getting married in beautiful Savannah. Definitely looking forward to it. The story of how Aleshia met Justin is a classic one so had to share. Enjoy 🙂

We should have met long before we actually did! We both attended Georgia Southern University and had a class right next to each other. One day getting off the elevator (feeling flirtatious) I noticed this cute guy sitting in the chair studying. He glanced (doing a double take) then looked back into his books. Later, I was walking with a friend to class and asked her if she noticed the cute guy sitting in front of the elevator ….my luck, she didn’t. Arriving to class, we prepared to take a test and I whispered to her, “Hey I can’t stop thinking about who that mystery guy was”, she laughed. So after acing my test, I went to my next class, I questioned other friends in my next class, giving full details, cute, tall, light skin, wearing a gray hoodie. Was I was seeing things?  So I put it in the back of my head and went on with my life. 🙂

A month later, on a Friday I was sitting in my quantitative analysis class conducting a performance review on the teacher. We finished class a few minutes early and the teacher asked if someone would take the forms to the third floor office ( Me never wanting to go to the third floor on a Friday, but knowing I need to make this professor my BFF to pass) I raised my hand.  I decided to take the furthest elevator down the hall up to the third floor checking out classes, the last door open and there stood my man, at least in my mind. Me, being very shy (smiling), I ducked my head and quickly ran in to the elevator.

After dropping off the forms, I left school made a “B” line to a close friend’s house to tell her the news. She was clueless! I had a 45 minute drive home thinking about this guy. So again I went on with my life.   Two months later, I woke up determined to find this guy, Today! I put on my Sunday’s best and left for school. I asked my friend Tracy if she would walk the hall and look into every class with me because I had to find him. So we retraced the first sighting…no guy…we get to the first classroom, stop, peeped in…still no mystery man. We had 2 more classes to go, one was mine.  I got distracted and looked away that’s when Tracy screamed “there he is” grabbing my arm.  We quickly ducked between the classroom doors and regrouped. I said to her “Are you absolutely sure” because she never saw him. She replied, “I just know”. I did a quick makeup and hair check then boldly walked to the door, WOW! There he was… with his big head looking right at me smiling.

Luckily, my class was cancelled; we rushed to Tracy’s to check Facebook, “the CSI for college students”.  Tracy remembered …he was the guy she had a class with her freshman year, “I think his name is Jason” Halfway through all the darn Jason’s at Georgia Southern, she said…” No it’s JUSTIN!”  We quickly put in Justin and 4 pages down Justin Stevens pops up! I sent a friend request to him… The rest is history!

Tracy saw my work through another client i had worked with in the past and was excited about getting engagement session pictures done. He really wanted the session to reflect the nature of their relationship and by the time we were through i knew we had done just that. I really had a great time with Tracy and Tisa because they were soo relaxed the entire time and were just themselves. Tracy and Tisa are getting married later this year. Congrats guys and wish you a happy married life!
