Raymond contacted me about a month before his proposal date and at the time he was not even sure which day it would be. Kenyatta works out of town so he had to perfectly coordinate the surprise proposal without giving any hints. By the time he figured out the date it happened to be the same weekend i was planning to travel out of state for a wedding. Determined to still have me shoot this surprise proposal (extremely honored ) he moved the date 3 days earlier than his original plan. So officially the date was set. Next thing up was the weather. There was a severe weather alert that day so i was worried it would affect the shoot but through the strong winds and heavy clouds we still got some amazing pictures.

Raymond and Kenyatta’s relationship is a true love story. When they told me they met each other for the first time in elementary school i was like WOW! If you are meant to be with someone no matter how much life separates you somehow and some way you’ll cross paths again. That was the case for them. Raymond’s plan for the proposal was to tell Kenyatta he wants them to do a photo shoot at Piedmont Park so she would not suspect anything (1st proposal i’ve done that did not require me to hide lol) and midway through the shoot pop the big question. Everything worked out perfectly and she said YES! She also had no clue it was coming . Thank you Raymond for allowing me to capture such a special moment. Wish you guys the best!
